Tell us about you. What do you do? What have you studied?

I'm a 24 year old mother of a 3 year old toddler. I have completed my Bachelor of Arts in psychology, soon after my graduation I got married & since then I live in Dubai.

What sparked your interest in fashion designing?

I have been interested in fashion since I was a little kid. I would say I probably got my start when I was 7 and first started sewing my dolls' clothes. When asked, I would tell people I wanted to be a designer when I grew up. I never got to go to a design school, however, I still want to become a designer!

How did you come to be part of the hashboosh community?

Well my husband got to know about this from one of his friends & he encouraged me to take part in the design challenge.

What are your emotions when you see your sketch come to reality?

After every sketch that I make, I eagerly wait for it to come live! When you see your product live in front of you, it makes you feel amazing! It satisfies you.

What's your design aesthetic?

Back in the day I adored vintage design (and I still do), but over the last few years I?ve become deeply interested in typography and I love the concept of minimalism. I think I?ve been exceptionally efficient at understanding minimalism, so many of my designs are created in this way, but I also love bold colors, so I combine that with minimalism and creative typography.

What are your sources of inspiration?

Well Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Donatella Versace, Jimmy Choo, Ralph Lauren Are on my top list! I follow their fashion trends regularly, the designs, colors, fabrics don't fail to amuse me at all. Their designs inspire me to creat one!

How do you start to translate your inspiration into design?

When beginning to design a collection it?s natural to start fantasizing about your favorite designs, spilling sketch after sketch over each page. But good design is not born in a vacuum. The key to creating a memorable collection is to build a story from which you can then draw inspiration from to enhance your designs. Some times I get inspired by nature & that helps me creat a design using the shades of nature.

How do you keep yourself up to date with current and future trends?

Keeping myself well connected with the media these day has helped me a lot to get to know about the latest trends & demands of people, I keep a regular check on the upcoming fashion trends & upgrade my fashion sense accordingly.

Do you design with any one in mind? A muse?

A muse is 'someone that lights a spark and get you moving.' For me when I creat a design or an illustration, I keep myself in my mind & imagine my own self wearing that dress, this makes my imagination more real & fun.

Are there any types of styles that you avoid wearing? Tell us more about your style

I avoid wearing the styles in which I don't feel comfortable or confident enough to face the world. Every person has a different body type & I feel that one should choose a style which fits & suits their body, because at the end it's about you & your image. My style mantra is to keep it subtle as well as attractive.

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned since you started designing?

Designing taught me to standout bold & beautiful, it taught me to learn from my mistakes & keep on improving & updating myself with time.
